Service Description

The CoCo Training is a deeply powerful weekend intensive that will leave you feeling inspired and hopeful. Learn how your body and brain have been impacted by trauma, and how mind-body practices can help manage your nervous system and support your overall wellbeing. Through group experiences, dialogue, lecture, yoga, meditation and breathwork, we will cultivate a sense of belonging and increase your hope for humanity. The Connection Coalition 15-hour Trauma Informed Outreach Training, “The CoCo Training”, is for anyone who would like to learn about and provide outreach yoga, meditation and mindfulness programming in communities most affected by trauma, poverty and oppression. This certification weekend will prepare you with the skills and approaches necessary to effectively connect with yourself and participants in a variety of settings (including your own home) who are directly impacted by trauma. This course will cover: Intro to trauma Neuroscience of trauma & mindfulness How trauma affects the body Privilege & Access Intersectionality How to create authentic connection Yoga practices for self regulation Breath work tools for resilience Schedule: October 6-8, 2023 Friday 6:30pm-9:30 pm Saturday 12 pm-7pm with 1 hour lunch break Sunday 12 pm- 4:45 pm with a snack break Investment for 15 Hour Trauma Informed Outreach Certification - Early Bird Rate is $349 (available until Sept 6) - Regular Price is $389 - We also offer a scholarship rate of $299 to educators, college students and non-profit staff with proper ID. If you haven’t already done so, please email Jen@theconnectioncoalition.org a copy of your credentials (student/staff ID, email address, photo ID of non-profit affiliation, etc) so that your discounted rate can be approved. Once approved, you will provided with a link to register at the discounted rate. Facilitator: Marisol Tamez Connection Coalition is a national non-profit that has certified more than 5000 curious and courageous people to be Trauma Informed Connectors. Since 2003 CoCo has provided yoga programs to more than 25,000 youth in schools, shelters, rehabs and community centers.

All purchases are non-transferrable and non-refundable. For late class reservation cancelations please call 954-807-3077 and leave a message OR email realhuman@theomspot.com For precision training/private sessions we adhere to a 12 hour cancellation policy. All late session cancellations or no-shows will be deducted in full from your package. We will always do our best to accommodate your re-schedule requests but only if it's available on the same business day as your original session.
